I saw a young teenager on the news from Ukraine speaking about her experience, the bombs, the fear, her PTSD. She said a kid in Russia didn't believe that Putin's attack on Ukraine was anything other than what the Russian propaganda said it was, a humanitarian effort. The Ukrainian teenager ended her story telling us to look at the skies. Just to look at the skies. It shouldn't take such a tragedy to be reminded that the world is full of wondrous beauty, simple pleasures like looking at the skies and listening to birdsong. We're all witnesses now to the amazing, brave people of Ukraine who need our support. May we all find peace,, democracy and the freedom to live the full range of our lives in a compassionate world.
