Water and wind speak to each other in a language that many both see and hear. But knowing is different from seeing or hearing and together, seeing and hearing cannot produce knowing without the passage of many seasons. After many seasons however, something changes. Maybe a note from the summer plays like a fugue through the season and continues into the fall. Its presence swells in your consciousness and you finally hear what the water and wind are saying.
